TAMPICO NATIONAL HOLIDAY IN AMERICA

The Tampico has landed. and landed, and possibly bounced a few times.

Today the plane arrived and Tim spent a few hours with us flying the plane and getting our proficiency check and BFRs.  The plane flies beautifully and Jeff and I both got the chance to fly it a ton!

The tampico now lives in troy in a comfy hanger waiting to be flown..... gotta go!

VIVE LA FRANCE

Why oh why do we love the French people at EADS so very much... maybe because they made our beloved Tampico.  Here is a link to the film made by Jeff on the buying of our plane 134ER.

Our New Socata TB-9 Tampico

We started the day in Farmington Hills where Jeff drove Christy and I to Dayton (after a quick stop for Chick Fila in Toledo mmmmmmm) To see our new plane!

Our man Tim met us in dayton at Greene County Airport (I19) and we got our first glimpse of our new (1993) plane

I got first crack at flying the plane and although the wind did not cooperate much we had no problem flying around the Dayton area.  The plane was smooth, handled very well and the sight lines were the best i have ever seen in a small plane.

After a thorough inspection of the logs we made and offer and it was accepted.  Jeff and I are owners of a gorgeous french plane.   VIVE LA FRANCE!
